Massimiliano Allegri's depleted side will be focused on trying to change their tarnished image against the Group C leaders.

AC Milan will be hoping to return to winning ways when they travel to Spain to battle with Malaga in what promises to be an action-packed UEFA Champions League Group C clash on Wednesday.

The Rossoneri come into the clash in disastrous form after having suffered two successive Serie A defeats, including a painful derby defeat to Inter Milan. But while their league form has left a lot to be desired, the Italian giants remain unbeaten in the Champions League, after fighting out a goalless draw with Anderlecht in Italy and having snatched a memorable 3-2 victory over Zenit St. Petersburg in Russia.

But Milan are more than aware of the fact that they face extremely difficult opposition in Malaga, a team who have transformed their identity for complete in recent years, due to the success that comes along with having a wealthy owner.

Malaga lead Group C with six points, after obtaining impressive 3-0 victories over both Zenit and Anderlecht. The Spaniards will rate their chances of racking up another three points at La Rosaleda even if they have never faced a team of the stature of Milan in an international competition.

Manuel Pellegrini, Malaga's accomplished Chilean coach, understands that his team have to be in top form in order to celebrate come the conclusion of the match, because while Milan have been consistently disappointing this season, they still possess an intimidating squad with a number of high-profile players.

Pellegrini will be overjoyed by the fact that he counts with a full-strength squad for the clash. His only selection concern may be that of Nacho Monreal, who will only take part in the game provided he passes a late fitness test. If he fails to do so, he will likely be replaced by Manuel Iturra.

The Chilean has decided to adopt a 4-5-1 tactical formation, with Javier Saviola being the lone striker up front, but he will be supported by attacking minded wingers, who will play a deeper role.

Like Pellegrini, Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri faces few injury concerns, but one player he is unlikely to count with is Robinho. The Brazilian international could be ruled out with a muscular injury.

Allegri, who could be out of a job if Milan suffer a heavy defeat to the Andalusians, has once again selected Giampaolo Pazzini and Stephan El Shaarawy as his desired strike-force.
