The French club is not in favor of losing the Brazilian superstar to the Spanish league champions.

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain has vetoed Barcelona's advances for club posterboy Neymar Jr. The French outfit is reportedly set to categorically reject every single bid from the Blaugrana for the Brazilian superstar after deciding against doing business with the Spanish heavyweights.

Neymar's transfer speculation is one that has captured headlines this summer having been accompanied by a series of controversies. The 27-year-old forward's dream move to reunite with Barcelona remains an open secret although formal talks for the switch are yet to commence.

At the moment, the deal looks a tad complicated as the Catalans would have to create room for the former Santos prodigy's arrival with the sale of some players. Relatively, Paris Saint-Germain has not outrightly ruled out its most-prized asset's sale and is holding out for a transfer fee in the region of what was paid to secure the player's service in 2017.

Nevertheless, there has been a sensational twist to the development despite PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi's desire to keep the Neymar away from the dressing room. According to Marca, Les Parisiens have now decided against granting Neymar his heart desires by refusing to sanction his sale to Barcelona.

With the relationship between the two teams believed to be at an all-time low, the Parc des Princes outfit has very little desire to negotiate with the Catalans. In light of this, other clubs interested in signing Neymar would be prioritised over the Spanish heavyweights, with the French side unwilling to change its mind any time soon.

Meanwhile, PSG director Leonardo is reportedly set for crunch talks with Neymar in another attempt to convince the Brazilian star to make a U-turn on his decision to join Barcelona.
