Koke took advantage of a massive mistake by the Portuguese defense, which lost the ball to Diego Costa in front of their own box. Costa paced the game to let Koke arrive unmarked to put the ball past Rui Patricio after just 22 seconds of playing time.
The Spaniard joined an elite list of scorers for Atlético that have scored inside the first minute of a game. Furthermore, he is now the proud scorer of Atlético's fastest goal in this tournament.
