Juventus are hoping to lure Fiorentina’s Alberto Gilardino at all cost during the January transfer window. The Turin-based side are willing to offer striker Amauri with €10M to the Viola according to transfer news from Italy.
Ilsussidiario.net claims that Juventus are looking to meet with Fiorentina’s chiefs for the signature of Alberto Gilardino. The Italian forward is believed to be the top man on Juve’s transfer wish list since the player is reportedly keen on leaving the Florence outfit to become a Bianconeri.

Gilardino currently earns €2.3M a year whereas he is set to gain €3M should he join Juventus. The problem in this transfer deal is that the Old Lady’s injured Amauri – who is expected to return to action next month – doesn’t seem ready to quit the Stadio Olimpico di Torino.

But Alberto Gilardino’s price tag is of €20M and Juventus – who may not be able to afford this sum of money – are planning to offer Fiorentina €10M in addition to Amauri which the Bianconeri value at €10M as well.

However, Napoli’s presence in transfer matters could see Juventus’ wish fall apart. It is believed that the Naples team will win their bid to acquire Adrian Mutu’s services. In this case, Fiorentina will certainly not accept to lose two star players – meaning that Alberto Gilardino may not be able to switch to Juventus.

The January transfer window could see something else happening, though. Let’s see how things will unfold between Fiorentina, Juventus and Napoli as Serie A sides are looking for reinforcement in 2011.
