If there was any question about the relationship between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, the Portuguese made quite an impressive revelation to end all disputes.
Speaking to famed Argentinean journalist Martin Liberman on Fox Sports Argentina, CR7 shared his views on his relationship with Messi, and blasted the media for creating a rivalry that has never existed between them.
"I'm not his friend, we're simply colleagues. We've shared a lot of moments during all the award ceremonies, and we have a good relationship. We don't end up going out for dinner, but we respect each other. He's a fellow footballer, not a rival, I don't like that word. The supposed rivalry is fabricated by the media, most use it just to sell, not only in football, but in most sports," CR7 stated.
The journalist went on and asked if he watched some of his games, and Ronaldo admitted doing so.
"Of course, I enjoy watching him play, just like I watch other top footballers. But he's really fun to watch, he's a crack-shot," he added.

The Portuguese player ellaborated on his opinion, stating there's no way for him to "not like" someone who's always looking out for others.
"He's never done me any harm. Why should I dislike him? When you guys ask him about me, he has nothing but kind words. We're on good terms with each other," CR7 concluded.
The full interview will be aired on Thursday, but we have reason to believe these statements will be the best of that sit down between CR7 and the Argentinean sportscaster.
