Jamie Vardy's recent performances in front of goal may have an explanation after all. The English striker has been playing with a groin injury for the past few months, and both the club and the footballer have decided to solve it.
The 28-year old will undergo a minor groin surgery this week, which will leave him out of Leicester's FA Cup clash against Tottenham. Depending on how he reacts to the surgery, he could return to the team's lineup to face Spurs on January 13th.
Vardy broke Ruud Van Nistelrooy's Premier League record of most consecutive games scoring at least one goal. The English international set a new milestone with eleven straight matches scoring, lifting his total to 15 strikes this season. Vardy's goals helped Leicester City to reach the top of the table, but the Foxes haven't been able to win any of their last three games.
