De Gea joined Manchester in 2011 and still has one year left in his contract. Madrid has until August 31 give the Red Devils the offer they want.

David de Gea seems to be impatiantly waiting for the moment that Real Madrid gets him out of Manchester United. With the transfer deadline approaching quickly this August 31, two legends of the club slammed the United keeper as they don't like what his behavior could cause down the line.

Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand were for many years part of the Red Devils under the management of Alex Ferguson. While they know that Louis van Gaal is nothing like the manager they had, they know how important it is for the club to keep good players like De Gea.

"If we want you stay and you are one of our better players then you will stay here and play under our conditions. That sets the tone," Ferdinand said.

Ferdinand believes that if Manchester United made it easy for its players to leave the club, there would be a lack of respect towards the club. Ferdinand wants the team from Old Trafford to stand by what they want out of their players and keep those that can really make Manchester United a better club.

Throughout the summer it has also been said that De Gea has lost focus and therefor has not been called for the first three games of the season nor the Champions League playoffs. So far, the Spanish goalkeeper has watched the home games from the stands. The club did register him to be a part of the roster this season.

"How can you lose focus? That's the thing for me. He is getting paid by this club; it is a brilliant club. They paid a lot of money on a young keeper to give him this chance," Scholed claimed.

De Gea joined Manchester United four years ago after playing for Atletico. At the age of 24 he had just earned his spot as the team's first goalkeeper. He even left Victor Valdes on the bench for almost the whole season. While it seems that he is desperate to go back to Spain, there is one more year left in his contract.

"If the manager is right and says he has lost focus then yeah, I think he is out of order," Scholes added.
