As a child of Ghanaian immigrants who has lived in Europe as well as the United States, for us, the World Cup and Champions League finals was our equivalent of the Super Bowl or World Series.Despite my grandparents' reservations I started playing soccer at the age of 4. Although I no longer play competitively, I now express my passion for the beautiful game through writing, which I have been doing since the summer of 2012.
As a child I followed the Premier League, which I still do today as a devoted Chelsea fan. My interest in Serie A started in 2002 when I visited Italy for the first time, and due to Paolo Maldini being one of my favorite players, I have been an AC Milan supporter ever since. However, as a general calcio fan, I generally tune into any other game involving Italy's biggest teams--especially Roma as Francesco Totti has long been another favorite footballer of mine.
In recent years, Ligue 1 has also been added to my area of interest and expertise due to the presence of players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Vincent Enyeama.
Outside football, I enjoy traveling, studying languages, and spending time with friends and family.
