Porto's unbeaten run continues as the Dragons continue their march towards the title, leaving others to continue to try to play catch up.

There were not really any notable changes in the league standings after this round, with league leaders Porto still leading the way thanks to their straightforward 2-0 win over Arouca. Meanwhile, Benfica sought to get back on track after losing their way recently and ultimately crashing out of the title race.

Here's what happened in the Primeira Liga this past weekend.

Primeira Liga key headlines, stats, and other facts

Porto stands alone: Thanks to their win over the weekend, the Dragons not only are still on top of the table but also remain the only unbeaten side in all of Europe's major leagues. While the season still has plenty of games to go, it will be interesting to see if Porto can manage to do it without losing a single match - something that has been achieved in England as well as in Italy.

Battle between the relegation candidates: Moreirense vs Belenenses was a game pitting two of the worst-performing sides against each other in a scrap for points. It's not surprising that both teams were equally desperate for a win, as both Arouca, who sit in 15th following their loss to Porto, and Famalicao, who sit in 16th, are still within touching distance.

Top Primeira Liga matches: February 11 - February 14, 2022

Porto vs Sporting CP: Any match featuring any of Portugal's "Big Three" sides is always a big one for Primeira Liga fans, and Friday will see league leaders Porto take on familiar rivals Sporting CP. As things stand, the Dragons are six points clear of Sporting and appear to be cantering onto the title, but a win for the Lions would not only halve the difference, but potentially blow the title race back open.

Benfica vs Santa Clara: Benfica will hope to continue to make progress and consolidate third spot when they face Santa Clara this weekend.
