Ronaldo made a public announcement via Facebook on July 4th of the birth of his first son to an American woman. Perhaps he chose July 4th due to it being Independance Day in the USA to celebrate the fact his boy will carry an American Passport. So it´s possible that if Cristiano Ronaldo Jr becomes a footballer and a good one like daddy, he may very well wear the Red, White and Blue in 20 years time.
The 25 year old Real Madrid star is suspected to have used a surrogate mother to bear his child, with the child being possibly conceived through In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
It appears Ronaldo was already in the USA when he made the announcement. Many were awaiting Ronaldo to join his family in their vacation home in Vilamoura, Algarve. Sources close to Cristiano say the infant was born in the USA aproximately 3 weeks ago (mid-June) while Cristiano Ronaldo was still in South Africa and Portugal was still competing in the group stage of the World Cup. Cristiano Ronaldo wasted little time after arriving from South Africa to travel to the USA. It is unknown whether this trip involves business or just pleasure or possibly documentation for his new born son.
Ronaldo's last visit to the USA was back in June 2009 when he visited Los Angeles and Las Vegas in the company of American socialite Paris Hilton. It is unknown whether the child was planned during this 2009 visit or if this was planned in Europe. Details should surface with time. Ronaldo may very well stick around the USA for a few weeks in either his Miami or LA condos. If all this is confirmed, it´s possibly that Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. will be eligible to play for the US National Soccer team.
Ronaldo was spotted in strolling through New York's Greenwich Village on July 5th.

After a fruitless season with no trophies to his name with Real Madrid and at the World Cup with Portugal, atleast Cristiano Ronaldo can enjoy his lovely girlfriend Irina and Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.
