Cristiano Ronaldo’s return on Wednesday made all of Madrid’s fans hope for a spot in the UEFA Champions League final. Despite the narrow one-goal advantage from the first leg, the Portuguese striker stated on TVI that “1-0 is a result which might not see you through, but you never know.

Furthermore, CR7 said that Real has “a slight advantage and [he] think[s] [that they will] score goals [in Germany].”

With regards to Ronaldo’s return on the field after 20 days, the general consensus is positive. As Ancelotti said, “it wasn't easy with no Bale and Ronaldo at only 50%. He made a huge effort.”

The Real Madrid coach added: “'Ronaldo played well. He worked hard on the field to help defensively. He wasn't 100 percent but he sacrificed a lot tonight.”

Cristiano Ronaldo was pleased as well. He felt confident, but reported that “some people did not want him to play.” Yet again, CR7 proved most skeptics wrong with a performance that would warrant plenty of praise, if expectations were not always of the highest order for the Portuguese extraterrestrial talent.

But ahead of the second leg at the Allianz Arena, Ancelotti has sent a clear warning to Guardiola

“On Tuesday [Ronaldo] and Bale will be 100 percent.”
