A top of the table clash will be in store as Scudetto contenders Inter and Juventus lock horns on Sunday, February 4th.

Any match between Inter and Juventus is always one to look forward to for calcio fans worldwide, and this Sunday's installment of the famous Derby d'Italia certainly will be no exception. The stage is perfectly set for what should be an entertaining spectacle, as both the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri are neck and neck in the battle for the Scudetto.

AC Milan are still hoping to keep their foot in the door, and the Rossoneri have closed the gap on second-placed Juventus to four points following their hard-fought 3-2 win over Frosinone earlier on Saturday. As such, the Diavolo could shake things up and turn a two-way battle into a three party affair, but for now, the focus will be firmly on the upcoming showdown between two of the other three giants of Italian football this Sunday.

Inter come into this contest in excellent form, and are unbeaten so far in 2024. Simone Inzaghi's men successfully saw off Napoli 1-0 to clinch the Supercoppa Italiana last month, and will be aiming to make it a sixth straight win across all competitions at Juventus's expense this weekend. However, that may be easier said than done. Although Juventus were held to a surprise one-all stalemate against relegation-threatened Empoli last weekend, La Vecchia Signora have also had a strong start to 2024.

Massimiliano Allegri's troops are unbeaten in all six of their games across all competitions since 2024 started, with their 1-1 draw against Empoli being the only slight blemish on an otherwise good start. Yet, although Juventus did complete a double over Inter last season, they not only have failed to win their last three meetings against the Nerazzurri, but also will be coming up against a very formidable record Inter have put together at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Indeed, Inter are unbeaten in 22 out of their last 23 games (across all competitions) played at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, and they have lost just one match in Serie A, which was a surprise 2-1 reversal to Sassuolo back on September 27th. Still, they, too, will likely face a stern test in their upcoming opponents, who also have lost just once in Serie A this season. Curiously enough, it was none other than Sassuolo who once again proved to be a troublesome opponent, as the Neroverdi earned a shock 4-2 win against the Bianconeri on September 23rd.

This game ultimately could prove decisive in who lifts the Scudetto at the end of the season. The reverse fixture between Inter and Juventus finished as a one-all draw in Turin last November, with Lautaro Martinez's effort enough to secure a point after Dusan Vlahovic put his team 1-0 up. Will the two sides cancel each other out once again? Or will one of these teams pick up a crucial victory, and in doing so, end their opponents' unbeaten start to 2024?
