Arsenal have found relief as the previously undecided Samir Nasri has now settled: the midfield ace is happy at the Emirates and thus wants to extend his stay with the Arsenal family.
In 2012, Samir Nasri’s current contract with the Gunners will expire. Big admirers Barcelona have been monitoring this issue as Pep Guardiola reportedly claimed a few times that he would be interested in signing Nasri.

Earlier in December 2010, the player was suggested to have been flattered by Barcelona which raised fears among Arsenal fans. But all these will soon be put to bed according to Samir Nasri’s agent Jean-Pierre Barnes.

“Samir is happy at the club. The coach believes in him and the directors believe in him as well,” Barnes told the Daily Express.

“He said to me, ‘You won’t believe how great the atmosphere is in the dressing room. I’ve rarely experienced anything such as this’.

“Samir has done his 3 seasons with Arsenal and the wise thing to do is to stay with the club.”

Samir Nasri is currently out through injury. Arsenal will miss him for at least 3 weeks, which means that he will be unavailable for the Gunners’ titanic Champions League clash against Barcelona at the Emirates. Samir Nasri's new 5-year contract should keep the player at Arsenal until 2016.
