The Argentine giants come into the return leg of the semi-final with a comfortable two-goal cushion from the first leg.
Having beaten Universidad de Chile 2-0 in the first leg of the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores in Buenos Aires last week, Boca Juniors will be hoping to finish off the job in the return leg in Santiago on Thursday as they seek passage into the final of South America's biggest club competition.

Boca, who won the game courtesy of goals from Santiago Silva and Sanchez Mino, will rate their chances of advancing to the final, where they will meet the winner of the other semi-final between Santos and Corinthians that will be decided on Wednesday.

However, the six-time Copa Libertadores champions should be extremely cautious of their rivals, because Universidad de Chile have yet to taste defeat at the Estadio Nacional so far in the competition.

In fact, the Chileans have won four out of five of their home games where they scored a total of 16 goals and only conceded a mere four goals.

Universidad de Chile also proved that they are capable of coming from behind in key games, as was the case in the round of 16 stage of the competition when they overturned a 4-1 deficit against Deportivo Quito, by hammering the Ecuadorians 6-0 in Santiago.

In the quarter-finals, they also had much to do, as after being held 1-1 by Libertad in Asuncion, they levelled the series in Santiago and went on to win the tie following a penalty shoot-out.

Julio Falcioni, the coach of Boca Juniors, admitted that the Chileans are a very attacking-minded team and that his troops should be very cautious of this.

"They are a team who both at home and away maintain the same [tactical] scheme," he said. "They will surely try to be more offensive because they need to. We will try to counter this and maintain our advantage."

Due to Universidad's impressive home record, which dates back to their triumphant Copa Sudamericana campaign of last year, Boca simply can't afford to relax on their advantage, and must confront the game with total dedication in order to reach their objective.
