The German boss is not satisfied with the team's transfer business this winter after some players have been left out of the club for disciplinary reasons.

PSG's shocking elimination from the Coupe de la Ligue by Guingamp left coach Thomas Tuchel wondering about the future, prompting the German to ask for reinforcements ahead of the second half of the season.

Les Parisiens had dominated almost all domestic competitions for the past five years, but the last place in Ligue 1 managed to eliminate them from the league cup thanks to a couple of spot kicks. With that in mind, Tuchel refused to pin the blame on his available players, and asked his bosses to up the ante in the ongoing transfer window.

"We didn't have to lose to know we need to bring in more players. Without any holding midfielders, it will not be possible to win titles in February, March or April," Tuchel said.

Defensive midfielders Lass Diarrá and Adrien Rabiot are unavailable for PSG, since the former Real Madrid footballer has decided to part ways with the club after Tuchel's repeated snubs. Furthermore, Adrien Rabiot was "punished" by Sporting Director Antero Henrique, who stated that the rising midfielder will not play for PSG until he extends his contract, something that does not seem to be in Rabiot's plans.

Speaking about Wednesday's loss to Guingamp, Tuchel shared his shock after watching the ref granting three penalties to EAG during the second half of the game.

"If we were Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern, a referee would never have the guts to award three penalties to the opposing team, not in a hundred years. But today, this ref made it possible,"Tuchel stated.

"I don't even want to talk about the second penalty. There's no foul there, it drives me crazy. The ref even looked at the VAR and he awarded it anyway. You have to ask if he was happy to see such a thing happening to us. It's not right to award a penalty such as that one,"he added.

PSG will have time to focus on other tournaments, including the UEFA Champions League. Les Parisiens are paired up against Manchester United in the continental competition, and performances such as the one on Wednesday raise concerns about their chances in the most important club tournament in the world.
