It's safe to say that every fan expects their star players to help their team when things get tough. Unfortunately for Barça fans, there seems to be a common ground in all of their UEFA Champions League eliminations since Lionel Messi's debut.
The Argentine superstar has been involved in nine UEFA Champions League exits with Barcelona since his debut, and he hasn't helped a bit in any of those. As these numbers will tell you, Messi hasn't been able to step up neither as a sub or as a starter.
