The always-exciting clash between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be even more thrilling this campaign, as the latter of their two meetings could be the title-deciding match.
Spain’s two top dogs will first lock horns on December 20 at the Bernabeu, but that game could be rescheduled due to Los Blancos’ FIFA Club World Cup participation.
The second Clasico, set to be held at Camp Nou, is scheduled to be played on May 6. That means the Blaugrana and Les Merengues will battle it out for a second time on round 36 in the 38-matchweek league.
This is very significant due to the fact that the last two league titles were won on the final day. Messi and Co. will fight to reclaim the title from last season’s winners Real Madrid, whilst Zidane’s side looks to win back-to-back Spanish Primera Division titles.
Ernesto Valverde, who was appointed as the new manager at Camp Nou, will lead Barca for their first league game as boss against Real Betis. The reigning champions begin their title defense away to Deportivo.
