With Sergio Aguero’s future at Manchester City under huge doubt, rumors have linked him with a move to their bitter rivals Manchester United. However, according to Goal, the Argentine will not agree to an Old Trafford switch.
The report claims that although a move to the Red Devils stood an outside chance of going through, the Red Devils are still keen on the South American. The former Atletico Madrid man won’t entertain the tought.
The 28-year-old has been the Citizens trusted forward for many seasons, but the arrival of Guardiola has brought uncertainty. Gabriel Jesus’ explosive start to life in England has also fueled the Aguero exit rumors.
Aguero lost his place in the starting eleven to the Brazilian, with the Argentine reportedly being told he is no longer guaranteed a start in Pep’s lineup. Kun then scored 12 in 14 games during Jesus’ 10-week spell on the sidelines, but the Selecao forward is back in the picture.
Man United were believed to be plotting a mega-money move for the 28-year-old, with a £12m salary package – after bonuses – on the table. Man City, linked with a move for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, could have used that money to fund a bid for the wantaway Chilean attacker.
However, the player himself won't accept a controversial move to Man City's direct rivals. A move to China could be a possibility for Aguero, but further talks with Guardiola will occur at the end of the season before a decision is made.
