Earlier this week, journalist Martí Perarnau revealed excerpts from Pep Guardiola's biography, a book he wrote. The journalist made a shocking revelation concerning the Catalan boss, which involved an offer from Florentino Pérez to coach Los Blancos soon after Rafa Benítez was sacked.
Speaking in today's press conference, Pep Guardiola tackled the issue after a Spanish journalist asked him about that offer. Despite being under contract at the time with Bayern, Pep revealed the true reason why he chose not to consider coaching Barcelona's bitter rivals.
The Catalan boss hasn't enjoyed the best of runs at Manchester City this season. Despite leading the club to the top spot of the EPL, Guardiola has gone six straight games without a win, his longest streak since becoming a top-flight coach. The Sky Blues are getting ready to play against West Brom, with Guardiola hoping to end that drought this weekend.
