Jurgen insists he could have replaced the current Swansea manager as USMNT boss way before 2011.

Jurgen Klinsmann has shown time and time again that he isn’t afraid to take on USMNT fan-favorites, this time hitting back at former manager Bob Bradley over recent remarks made by the American.

He was provoked, some may say, as the German shot a fiery response to the newly-appointed Swansea boss who claimed Klinsmann was once after his job.

Bradley was head of the US Soccer team, taking over in 2006 as interim boss after speculated talks with Klinsmann broke down, holding the position until 2011. A loss in the Gold Cup final to Mexico, however, handed the fatal blow to the America.

The Swansea boss, whilst speaking to the media, accused the former Germany boss of “jockeying” for his job during the 2010 World Cup despite Jurgen praising him for his new Premier League job. Bob stated (as per Fox Sports):

"I'm glad that Jurgen said some nice things now.

“When he did commentary on the 2010 World Cup, he was already jockeying for the job. I shut my mouth, continued to support the team because I of course want to see the team do well.”

The current USMNT boss, though, was quick to squash those claims, insisting that he could have easily ousted Bradley of his job in 2006. Klinsmann said (as per Goal):

“It's simply not true. I could've taken the job in 2006. I could've taken it in 2010. Then we got together again in 2011 and we figured out a way to make this happen, so I was not jockeying anything."

Jurgen Klinsmann's boys will be in action on Monday, as USMNT prepare to lock horns with New Zealand in an international friendly.
