Despite being one of the deadliest attacking unit in football, they boast unflattering numbers in clashes with Barcelona.

On Saturday, play in La Liga resumes with a very exciting clash between Barcelona and Real Madrid in the always thrilling Clasico encounter between Spain’s two most successful clubs.

Los Blancos sit in third and trail the reigning Liga BBVA champions by a whopping 10 points, meaning the "title decider" label goes out the window in regards with Saturday’s game; however, bragging rights is up for grabs at Camp Nou.

Zinedine Zidane will be looking to his impressive BBC (Bale, Benzema, Cristiano) unit to grab all three points as they look to keep the even deadlier MSN (Messi, Suarez, Neymar) at bay. Unfortunately, BBC’s record in El Clasico is not all too impressive.

Although since the arrival world-record signing Gareth Bale at Santiago Bernabeu in 2013, Les Merengues have triumphed twice over their bitter rivals, never have the 10-time Champions League winners beaten the Catalan giants with Bale, Benzema, and Cristiano all playing at the same time.

The Welshman tasted victory over the Blaugrana in his debut season, scoring the winning goal in the Copa del Rey final clash with Barca, but on that day Ronaldo was absent. Last season’s 3-1win at the Bernabeu was the second of two wins since Bale’s arrival, but the former Spurs ace missed out on that victory.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Real Madrid, Barcelona, El Clasico, La Liga

In the past two and a half years, Real Madrid have won twice and drawn once when playing an incomplete BBC attack. Fielding all three stars at once has ended in three defeats out of three for Los Blancos, unfortunately.

On the other hand, Barca’s MSN has only been at Luis Enrique’s disposal for two seasons (the current campaign and the previous one), and since then they’ve only lost once in their very first Clasico, winning the other two.

Will this poor run for Real Madrid’s BBC end this weekend?
