Frustration was on the high for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal fans, as the Gunners’ winless run continued for a fourth straight game after Tuesday’s 0-0 draw with Southampton at home.
The north London giants were unable to find the back of the net against the Saints at the Emirates, as the tie saw them fall further behind in the title race, dropping to fourth, now five points behind leaders Leicester.
“We came out with a 0-0, with the experience we have in our team, that’s disappointing. It’s frustrating because we put a lot of energy into a game like that. We created a lot of chances of top quality and couldn’t finish,” said the 65-year-old, as his boys went for a third consecutive game without scoring.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Le Prof’s was even more frustrated with match official Lee Mason, whom he waited for at the top of the tunnel to confront after the final whistle.
Wenger was upset with the performance of the referee, and confronted Mason – alongside fourth official Craig Pawson – saying: “It's always the same with you.”
Saints boss Ronald Koemen overheard Arsene’s remark to the officials and stepped in, telling the long-serving French manager: “You had 10 chances to score and didn’t take any of them, instead you take it out on them (the officials).”
