The Portuguese superstar once again reiterated his desire to retire at Santiago Bernabeu.

With Cristiano Ronaldo into his thirties, if you are a Liga BBVA defender hoping that the end of the Real Madrid superstar’s reign in Spain is near, don’t count on it.

According to the three-time Ballon d’Or winner, who received his record-breaking 4th European Golden Boot award on Tuesday, he has 6 more years to offer Los Blancos.

The former Man United ace also claims that he intends to maintain his current fearsome goalscoring form, telling Spanish media publication MARCA:

“My dream is to retire at Real Madrid. If you take care of yourself, you can play until you are 40.

“I want to continue for five or six more years. I plan to continue [with the same] games and goals average.

“I feel good and useful at Madrid, I want to keep winning here.”

Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid, International Champions Cup

Cristiano, second in the Spanish Primera Division goalscoring charts, is Les Merengues’ all-time leading goalscorer in La Liga, surpassing the tally previously held by Blancos legend Raul.

Furthermore, after his brace away to Malmo in the Champions League, the 30-year-old has drawn level with Raul’s all-time Real Madrid goalscoring record, which stands at 323 goals, a feat which Ronaldo has reached in 400 fewer games.

Nonetheless, the Portugal captain, contracted with the Bernabeu side until 2018, promises the fans that he is nowhere near being done with the 10-time Champions League winners.

This may also come as a huge blow to Man United and PSG, two European giants who are rumored to be keen on signing Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
