The current MLS season has attracted many new fans given their recent signings. Names that include David Villa, Andrea Pirlo and World Cup winner Kaká are all participating in the American tournament, and two more coming from the land that invented football are the main characters in the upcoming matchup between LA Galaxy and New York City FC: Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.
While the former Liverpool captain has performed in five games, his compatriot has not enjoyed the same luck, playing a couple of matches due to some physical problems. If he can get over a quad injury, he might be able to face his former partner with the English National team.
For this match, the LA Galaxy teamed up with a local designer to come up with a special poster to promote the game, featuring both players.
All the proceeds generated from the poster's sales will go to the LA Galaxy Foundation. The match will be played in front of a sell-out crowd which will pack StubHub Center next Sunday.
