Aritz Aduriz confirmed Athletic Bilbao's state of grace after their midweek victory over Espanyol, by blasting Real Madrid with a 1-0 score. Los Blancos' chances of maintaining their two point advantage over Barcelona are rather slim, since Los Blaugranas will host Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
Aduriz scored the only goal of the game, taking advantage of a great cross by Mikel Rico. Aduriz scored his 38th header goal in La Liga, trailing Llorente as the only player that has scored more goals with his head in this millenium. With this win, Athletic Bilbao reaches the 33-point mark, while Real Madrid will be hoping Barcelona slips again tomorrow to keep leading La Liga.
