Wolfsburg will be coming into their Round of 32 fixture against Sporting Lisbon on a high after winning four fixtures in a row. One of those wins came against Sporting in the first leg of this tie. The Wolfsburg striker has been in a rich vein of form, netting against the Bundesliga's tightest defense in Bayern after the resumption of the Bundesliga. Also, he hit four goals against a topsy turvy 4-5 win against one of Germany's most accomplished sides in Bayer Leverkusen. Not content with these goals, he scored both of the strikes in Wolfsburg's 2-1 win over Hertha in the previous weekend.
Sporting Lisbon is coming into this match in rather poor form. Sporting has picked up only two victories in their past five matches in all competitions. They sit third behind fierce rivals Benfica and Porto in the Portuguese Liga. The team from Portugal will have to work very hard to turn the tide around against Wolfsburg.
