Chelsea is coming into this match at relatively full strength; Cesar Azpilicueta is the only injured player. Thibaut Courtois is close to returning to full fitness. For the home side, Jefferson Montero is out injured while Jonjo Shelvey is suspended. Ki Sung-Yeung is away on international duty for his country. Swansea are winless in their last three matches, having drawn two and lost one.
The Blues must tread carefully as Manchester City sits close behind. The difference is only two points. Jose Mourinho's fiery temper has shown during recent press conferences following a string of decisions on and off the pitch he regards as unfair. He pointed out other decisions which could have different, markedly the lack of reaction when Arsene Wenger shoved him as well as the fog surrounding Man United's Chris Smalling's handball against Stoke. This is what he had to say according to ESPN:
"Would you think such a penalty against Chelsea would have a reaction in the media and with managers in the same way after that reaction? I don't think so. After that the reaction would be double or treble, so obviously a referee needs to feel free, relaxed and with no pressure to do the best they can."
"With Chelsea and with me the reactions are different. Do you think if I push a manager in the technical area that I don't have a stadium ban? I have a stadium ban."
