Will the Three Lions finally win a World Cup title after 52 years? Here's how fans can keep track of their progress in this summer's tournament.

It seems that the English team can finally call themselves title contenders in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Gareth Southgate's side enters this competition on a roll, with their manager having lost only two games since he first took over, and with one of the most talented generations of players in the team's history, the Three Lions seem to have what it takes to challenge the world's best for the FIFA World Cup title.

In order to keep track of the tournament, fans in England will have a number of options to follow the competition via their TVs, or via streaming services provided by the official broadcasters. Let's have a look at all options to follow the tournament.

World Cup streaming via the official broadcasters

BBC

BBC 33 of the tournament's 64 games, since they will share broadcast rights with ITV. The BBC will broadcast some interesting games, such as Portugal vs Spain, Germany vs Mexico and England's first two games of the competition (against Tunisia and Panama). All 33 matches broadcast by the BBC will be available to view online via the BBC IPlayer, and fans will have two ways to watch games on the go with the BBC Sport VR and BBC Sport apps.

ITV

The TV network that was created to compete with BBC in 1932 will also air 33 matches throughout the competition, including the final match. The ITV Hub will give fans a chance to watch the games online and on their mobile phones. ITV will broadcast and stream the tournament's opening match, all of Brazil's group stage games and England's clash against Belgium, among many others.

World Cup streaming in English

BBC IPlayer - This streaming platform will broadcast all the games BBC broadcasts on TV. Fans will be able to watch games both live and on-demand.

ITV Hub - ITV's streaming service will offer the same capabilites as their competitors, with the main difference being those games available on their platform. The ITV Hub will also give fans the chance to watch games live and on-demand.

Apps with live World Cup games

BBC Sport VR - This app will broadcast 33 World Cup games in Virtual Reality mode. This is one of the greatest technological features in all the world, and English fans will be able to test how this feature works on live games. This app also supports PlayStation VR, Oculus GO, Gear VR and Google Cardboard.

ITVHub - This app will broadcast all of ITV's available games on the go. An option to watch the games on-demand is also available.

BBC iPlayer - The other app developed by the BBC will have 29 games available, all of them being broadcast by BBC One. While this app will not feature VR mode, the first "tens of thousands of users" will be able to stream games in Ultra HD quality, althoug the BBC has warned fans that watching games with Ultra HD quality will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
