Real Madrid and Bayern Munich shocked the world by announcing the loan deal that will send James Rodriguez to Allianz Arena. There, the Colombian ace will join former boss Carlo Ancelotti, who got the best out of him during his first season with Los Blancos, and played a key role in his signing both in 2014 and today.
But such a high-profile move couldn't go unnoticed, and reactions poured in moments after the deal was unveiled. First off, Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos said goodbye to his former team-mate, expecting nothing but the best for him...with only one exception.
My brother, I wish you the best in this new adventure...except when we face each other in the UEFA Champions League, of course. Good luck, James Rodriguez!
Panita, te deseo das Beste en tu nueva etapa... salvo cuando nos crucemos en #ChampionsLeague, claro. ¡Suerte, @jamesdrodriguez!

As if fate wanted it to be that way, another center back went on and wrote a few words for the Colombian to read on social media. "Welcome James Rodriguez"
Bienvenido @jamesdrodriguez

But that wasn't the final nail on this story. Twitter users around the world made fun out of Manchester United's inability to sign the player, who was deemed as a primary target for Jose Mourinho. Some of those tweets were too fun to overlook!
