The German striker scored his last goal with Die Mannschaft during the friendly game against England, earning praise by fans at Signal Iduna Park

Lukas Podolski's career with the German National Team was full of ups and downs, but his final game with Die Mannschaft was the perfect occasion to leave a goal for the ages.

The player, who wore the captain's armband for most of the game, scored the only goal against England with a long-distance shot, which ended up finding its way into the top left-hand corner of Joe Hart's net. A stunning goal that earned "Poldie" not only a round of applause by fans at Signal Iduna Park, but also had Joe Hart congratulating him for such a beautiful goal.
