Everton manager Ronaldo Koeman will be hoping that Man Utd will win the League Cup on Sunday when they take on Southampton at Wembley. This has nothing to do with a hidden passion for the red devils whatsoever. Here's exactly why he is wishing Mourinho a victorious evening:
If Man Utd win the cup, it will boost Everton's chance of participating in next season's Europa League by finishing seventh in the Premier League. A top seven finish is always guaranteed for the Merseyside club but the Dutch manager admits that he might need help from Man Utd and other top six clubs.

And the buck does not stop at Man Utd winning the EFL Cup only - one of the top six clubs in the league must win the FA Cup. The three top six clubs still remaining in the FA Cup include Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal. The Daily Mail quotes the former Barcelona player cum manager as saying:
''It is true you need help from which team will win the League Cup or the FA Cup,
''In that way, we hope United will win and one of biggest clubs wins the FA Cup, because then it's possible seventh in the table can play a qualification for the Europa League.
''It is factor (signing players) because they like to be part of Europe, and like to be part of the Champions League. The first step is to be part of Europe even if it being part of a difficult European league on Thursday or qualification really soon in the pre-season.
''We would like to do it and be part of it because Europe is the next step. Some players were interested, but ok, maybe also some like to see how we progressed in Everton for the future. I think we are in a good way to get what we want in the team and for next season.''
