The Welshman has been out of action at the club since November last year when he picked up an ankle injury against Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League. He resumed training with the the first-team squad earlier this week, and now, Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane believes the 27-year-old is ready to 'get some minutes' against Espanyol. Speaking during a pre-match presser, the French manager said:
"He will be in the squad and the plan is for him to have some minutes. We're keen and he's keen as well.
"Bale is a very important player for us. We know the quality and speed that he has, and the damage he can cause the opposition.
"He's very happy to return to the team, to be with us, and be able to play again."
The former Spurs man has had a big problem with injuries since his arrival at the Bernabeu. Since last year, he has missed 28 games due to injuries, according to Transfermarkt.
