Scoring a late goal for your new team in what is arguably the most important game for your supporters is something not much players can brag about. Today, Sadio Mane joined that exclusive list with his last gasp goal against Everton in his first Merseyside Derby for Liverpool.
Both teams struggled with their opponents' intensity throughout the match, finding it hard to create goal scoring chances in both penalty boxes.
Referee Mike Dean was forced to add eight minutes of stoppage time due to a harsh tackle on Jordan Henderson by Ross Barkley. Dean added eight minutes to the game, which were crucial for Liverpool's resurgence and Mane's tap in.
The African striker made his way into the EPL's record books, as he has now scored the latest goal in Merseyside Derby's history at 93 minutes and 51 seconds.
Here's what fans and experts are talking about following the exciting end of the match.

Sadio Mané deserved that goal. He was virtually harassed all game but worked his socks off & got his reward. MOTM for me!

Mané was woeful almost the entire match, but he showed up when it matters most and that's why we paid so much for him. Well done, Sadio.
