The Juventus ace dreams of becoming the most versatile midfielder this world has ever seen, opening up about his ambitions in a recent interview.

One could easily suspect Man United of regretting their failure to keep Paul Pogba at Old Trafford, as the Frenchman has grown into one of the world’s hottest and most sought after prospects after walking out on the Red Devils as a free agent.

Since joining Juventus back in 2012, the Bleues international has won four Serie A titles, a Coppa Italia, and a Champions League runners-up medal last year, all at the age of 23. However, despite recently helping the Old Lady to a fifth consecutive Scudetto win, the player admits that he’s not yet satisfied with the Italian giants’ success.

Speaking in a recent interview with La Repubblica, Pogba discussed an array of topics about his professional career, revealing his desire to become one of the world’s most versatile midfielders, identifying Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as a player whom he wishes to emulate then surpass.

“I've only won four Scudetti. They're not enough for me. I've always been like this, people called me crazy but I want to make history and become the strongest midfielder ever,” said the French ace, as per Football Italia.

“I'd like to surpass [Frank] Lampard. I want to be the midfielder who can do everything, and at the highest levels. Shooting, dribbling, scoring, defending. I want to be like Lampard, but better.

“As for money, I know it comes and goes. I'd be lying if I said it makes no difference not having it, but I see it as a consequence of hard work. The stronger you are, the more you make. Ronaldo deserves the pay he gets, it's not like he steals it."

Paul Pogba, Juventus, Palermo, Serie A

Despite recent reports that Pogba will not be headed for La Liga heavyweights Barca, the player is wanted at Camp Nou regardless, as speculation over his future heats up. However, the 23-year-old confessed that his immediate focus is on the Bianconeri, where he is tied under a contract until 2019.

“As for my future, I want to beat Carpi, then I want the Coppa Italia, and then Euro 2016 in France. After that, I have a contract with Juventus, I can't just get up one morning and take a plane to England. Ask the people who work in the transfer department.”
