Arsenal's "romance" with the Premier League's fourth spot was put on hold by Chilean striker Alexis Sánchez, who scored a first half brace to lead the Gunners' 500th ever Premier League win. With today's score, Arsenal took away the EPL's 3rd place from Manchester City, and will try to build up on it when they visit Sunderland next Saturday.
Arsenal are two points ahead of the Sky Blues with just four games to go. In fact, a good run by Wenger's men could see them topple Tottenham from the EPL's second spot, as they trail Spurs by just five points.

Sánchez's goals were scored thanks to an impressive volley and a clinical free kick. Despite his usual injury problems, the Chilean striker has managed to score 19 goals in all competitions this season, standing seven goals shy from equalizing his all-time best. After today's performance, Sánchez has scored in four straight games for the first time this season, proving how influential he is for Wenger's crew.
Of course, fans reacted to his performance with nothing but praises. Here are some of their best comments.
