Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has come out publicly in the wake of fresh rumors linking superstar Neymar with a Camp Nou exit, insisting that he will not allow talks with other clubs over the signing of the Brazilian.
This comes after recent reports by L’Equipe claimed that Ligue 1 champions PSG were keen on reigniting their interest in the Selecao captain, with the French publication writing that Les Parisiens are ready to cough up a staggering £115m in order to land the 24-year-old.
The speculation came to being after the former Santos ace’s agent Wagner Ribeiro revealed to L’Equipe that playing for PSG and living in the French capital is a dream for many players.
However, ahead of the Blaugrana’s Champions League clash, Bartomeu issued a hands-off warning to any club interested in landing the Brazilian, claiming that he will not permit the Catalan giants to negotioate with other clubs over a Neymar transfer.
"If somebody comes to negotiate with Neymar we will not allow it," Bartomeu told Globoesporte, as per Marca.
"Neymar wanted to play for Barcelona and I am hoping all these talks will end soon because playing here was his wish."
Neymar has proven his worth to the reigning Liga BBVA holders, forming a formidable connection with fellow South American team-mates Suarez and Messi in the MSN trio which has tormented defenses from last season up until today.
The 24-year-old also boasts lovely numbers this season, having scored 27 and assisting 15 in 38 appearances in all competitions in 2015/16.
