Claudio Ranieri’s side look quite unstoppable right now in their course to win the Premier League title this season. The Foxes cruised past Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park thanks to a solitary goal from Riyad Mahrez in the first half.
The Algerian has now scored 16 league goals this season, more than any other midfielder in Europe’s top five leagues. Interestingly, the 25-year-old has also been involved in more goals than any other Premier League player this season (27). He boasts of an impressive record of 16 goals and 11 assists, two more than his teammate Jamie Vardy (25). This is Leicester’s fourth 1-0 win in their last five games, something that should be a major concern to the former Chelsea boss if they want to maintain their lead at the top of the table and dare dream of the coveted trophy.
Mahrez opened the scoring in the 33rd minute of the game when Danny Drinkwater supplied the ball to an unmarked Jamie Vardy in the danger zone. The England international then turned Scott Dann inside out before finding Mahrez who calmly found the back of the net.
The Foxes then continued to pile more pressure on the hosts and their efforts could have been rewarded three minutes later but the hawk-eyed Wayne Hennessey parried it out for a corner kick.
Although Crystal Palace seemed more dangerous in the second-half than the first, their efforts to find an equalizer were rendered futile. The Premier League leaders now have 66 points, eight behind second-placed Spurs.
Here are some of the best reactions to Leicester’s resurgence in the league:

Have to hand it to Leicester city. You guys show that passion wins over money. It would be a dream coaching a team like that.

The conversation down the pub in 20 years for today's children will be "Remember that time Leicester City won the premiership?"
