Manchester City sit at the fourth position on the log, nine points behind league leaders Leicester City. Although their title hopes are quite slim, they will want to pick maximum points in order to pile more pressure on the top three teams.
With the arrival of Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium next season already confirmed, City will be comfortable with at least a top four finish in order to restart their race to win some major trophies in the new season under the super tactician. On the other hand, Liverpool are in need of a win that could catapult them to the seventh position on the log if Southampton and Stoke City lose their respective fixtures.

Steven Caulker and Martin Skrtel are also injured, but Dejan Lovren could be available for selection. Daniel Sturridge could be rested after struggling with fatigue and cramp, and Adam Lallana, Divock Origi or Christian Benteke could provide the perfect replacement for the Englishman.

Joe Hart is expected to return between the posts, as Jesus Navas hopes to feature in the hunt for goals. Fernandinho could continue providing support at the right wing like he did on Sunday at Wembley.
