Barcelona is set to start their season with a UEFA Super Cup victory. But regardless of what people may think, coach Luis Enrique does not think too much about what people say about his team, since any sign of laying back could cost them too much against a team as Sevilla.
Luis Enrique believes his team will not have an easy match against the Andalucians, since Los Blaugranas will have some absentees like Jordi Alba and Neymar, both out due to medical problems.
"It's something we will have to figure out. It would be lovely to have everyone fit for this match, but we'll have to deal with it. When you guys say that we are the favorite team to win, you say it when you look at our potential. We have to pay no attention to that, and focus on the pitch, because that's what really matters," Luis Enrique told the press.
The Blaugrana coach also referred to Pedro's situation with the team. Ever since the transfer window started, his name has been heavily linked with a transfer away from the Camp Nou stadium, and the coach predicted any controversy about where he will be playing this year will end shortly.
"As a coach, I will always try to end the season with all the players I started with, and even though I believe we have talked too much about Pedro's future, the transfer window is about to close, and we will have a better idea about what the future holds in store for him. Regardless of his situation, if he can still contribute, he will play. I've never stopped playing someone because of their transfer situation," Luis Enrique added.
