Earlier today, Germany faced off against Ghana in a match many pundits described as a case of David and Goliath. Given their records on the world stage, it was pretty obvious who die Mannschaft and the Black Stars represented.
Yet, as this World Cup has shown, the Ghanaians were able to hold the Germans to a draw, surprising many who thought that the West African nation would be at the receiving end of another punishment like the one meted out to Portugal last week.
Another important highlight though was Miroslav Klose's netting his side's equalizer, and on a personal level, reaching a very important milestone. The 36-year-old is now tied with legendary attacker Ronaldo with 15 World Cup goals scored, and looks likely to break that record by the time the tournament is over.
Turning back the years: Klose showed he's still got it with his trademark celebratory flip
And the World Cup winner was quick to congratulate him on reaching his record:
Bem-vindo ao clube #klose imagino a tua felicidade!!!! Que bela copa!!!

An interesting stat for those who are also obsessed with coincidences:
Ronaldo broke Müller's record in Germany. Klose equalled Ronaldo's record in Brazil. Both against Ghana. Mother of coincidences. [@averajo]
