Sportklub Poland is a Central European television channel owned by the Hungarian media company IKO Media Group and operated in Poland by Media Production. It was launched on July 29, 2006, six months after its initial launch in Hungary.
As its name states, Sportklub focuses on broadcasting live sports events from different disciplines. Sports aired by this channel have included football, basketball, tennis, motorsport, American football, volleyball, ice hockey, handball, water polo, futsal, sailing, poker, pool, golf, martial arts, box, athletics, and even table tennis.
Throughout its history, football has played a major role in Sportsklub’s programming. The channel has aired leagues from different parts of the world, while also adding international competitions to its offer.
The channel has aired leagues such as the Austrian Bundesliga, the English Premier League, the Spanish Primera División, the Russian Premier League, the Netherlands Eredivisie, the Turkish Super Lig, the Ukrainian Premier League, the Greek Super League, the Swedish Allsvenskan, the Danish Superliga, the Romanian Liga I, the Slovenian PrvaLiga, the Slovak Super Liga, the English Championship League, the English League One, the English League Two, the Spanish Segunda División, the Italian Serie B, the German 3. Liga, games for the Slovenian Second League, the Mexican Liga MX, the Chinese Super League, the Japanese J1 League, and the Indian Super League have found airtime on this channel over the years.
International football has also been covered by this network, with tournaments like the UEFA Euro, the UEFA Nations League, and the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers being part of the network’s programming. Sportklub Poland was launched in Standard Definition, but a High-Definition feed was made available in 2017. Both feeds may be available for users in different parts of the country.
