About
NET History, Coverage, Features
NET is an Indonesian television channel owned and operated by Net Visi Media. This channel was launched on May 26, 2013, and its name is short for News and Entertainment Television. The channel has targeted a younger audience and families since it saw the light. NET replaced a channel called Spacetoon in the Indonesian TV grid.
Over the years, NET has included a variety of topics to keep families and young viewers as their main audience. Themes such as news, documentaries, reality shows, children’s programming, sports, religion, talent shows, films, and music have all been available on this channel’s programming. Most of the content aired on NET has been produced in Indonesia, but there might be some productions from other countries adding depth to the channel’s grid.
When it comes to sports, NET has aired content related to football and badminton. Football competitions aired on this channel over the years have included the German Bundesliga, the English Premier League, the League Cup, and domestic competitions sanctioned by the Indonesian Football Association. Added to that, NET has also aired games for the Indonesian National Football Team.
NET was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed was made available to its users years after the channel saw the light and became the primary option to watch this channel. A downscaled version of NET may be available to users who do not have access to HD technology in various regions of the country.
