It was founded in January 2002 under the name “TeleFutura” and is available on cable, satellite, and streaming television providers in the USA.The network was unveiled in July 2001 ahead of its January 2002 launch. It remained under the TeleFutura name until December 2012, when it rebranded to UniMás.
UniMás’ programming initially consisted of telenovelas, feature films, comedy series, game shows, sports, and more. However, following the rebranding in 2012, the network increased its sports-related content, as well as programming from Mexico and Colombia.

The network is available in HD and has enjoyed carriage via major U.S. television providers throughout its history, including AT&T U-verse, DirecTV, Charter, fuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, and more. Furthermore, UniMás has been available to stream on Univision NOW, Univision’s own streaming service.
