Estudiantes is crowned Apertura's champion thanks to Hernan Rodrigo Lopez's double.
Alejandro Sabella's Pinchas celebrated another as they tamed Arsenal in La Plata from the very first minute.

Velez Sarsfield needed Gustavo Alfaro's Viaducto to stop Estudiantes from winning to have a shot for the first position, but it was an unreachable goal.

All Boys survived Godoy Cruz's visit after Omar Asad's Tombas opened a two-goal in Floresta, but in the last minute of the game the hosts found the leveller with a penalty shot.

Libertadores' champion in 2009, Apertura's champion this year, Estudiantes adds a new title to their showcase after a perfect season, with 45 points in 19 games.

All Boys rescued an important point in Floresta, coming back from a two-goal lead by Godoy Cruz in the first seven minutes of the game.

26 points in their first 19 Primera Division matches this season is the satisfying outcome of Jose Romero's boys, suffering only three defeats. Godoy Cruz qualified for the Libertadores for the first time and finished the tournament in excellent form.

Ariel Rojas and Mariano Donda gave an early lead to Omar Asad's Tombas, but Godoy Cruz's winger Cesar Carranza wasted three decent chances to widen the advantage.

Matias Perez Garcia reduced the difference to a minimum in the 28th minute of the second half, before Albo's top striker Mauro Matos found the equalizer from the 12-yards in the 4th minute of stoppages.

Both All Boys and Godoy Cruz have been the top revelations of the Apertura. Will they maintain their level in the next semester?

It took longer than expected for Estudiantes to secure the game in La Plata. Arsenal was unstoppable in the first half but things changed in the last 45 minutes. Late substitute Uruguayan Rodrigo Lopez let Estudiantes lift their 11th domestic league title for the second time in La Plata with a double in less than fifteen minutes.

Juan Sebastian Veron lead Estudiantes' advance for over an hour but he had to be replaced in the 13th minute of the second half, making room for Lopez. Enzo Perez played a major role in the victory, assisting both in the defense and the attack whenever necessary.

Mauro Obolo was the most dangerous player in Arsenal but he failed to open the score in the few chances he was given. Estudiantes dominated the wings thanks to Gabriel Mercado and Marcos Rojo and it was only a matter of time since the hosts opened the score.

Two headers granted Estudiantes the victory and the title. Arsenal finishes a perfect season, playing excellent football, but the champion was stronger and prevailed.

Velez's coach Tigre Gareca was aware he needed to sharpen his attack to its maximum to secure the three points and hope for a shot at the title. Fortin's overwhelming offensive weight granted the visitors the advantage in the 23th minute of the first half as Juan Manuel Martinez tasted the net.

Miguel Angel Russo's Academia missed Giovanni Moreno in the attack, as the Colombian international was annulled by Velez's midfielders. His crosses found nobody inside the box and all Racing's attack came from mid-distance shots, especially from Gabriel Hauche.

Apertura's top striker Santiago Silva was a constant threat for Racing's back line but he failed to beat De Olivera's goal. Maxi Moralez was the main driver of the visitors and his efforts granted Velez the second goal with a perfect shot at Olivera's right upper angle.

The victory was not enough for Velez to claim the Apertura title. Racing finished a perfect season, occupying the 4th position as they wait for River's game on Monday.

Julio Cesar Falcioni's failed to celebrate a victory in its final match with Banfield as San Lorenzo's aerial superiority granted them two goals to overcome Walter Erviti's early goal.

The first half was all about Banfield. In the 37th minute, Erviti associated with Gabriel Mendez and was assisted outside the box, from where he beat Pablo Migliore's goal. The hosts awakened for the second half and in the very first minute of the second half Jonathan Bottinelli headed Aureliano Torres' cross straight into the net.

The leveller froze the game but Ramon Diaz's Cuervos were not satisfied with the draw. Aureliano Torres sent another cross that Juan Carlos Menseguez turned into the winning goal with a header.

San Lorenzo's performance this year has been far below the expectations of the crowds. A new era might dawn for Banfield without Falcioni, will the Drills be up to the Clausura fight?

Damian Diaz lead Fernando Gamboa's Sabaleros to another victory in Santa Fe. Substitute Lucas Acosta score the opener with a header 10 minutes before the final whistle.

Roberto Sensini's Lepras lack of goal might be the only warning Newell's coach will have to attend to for the next Clausura.

In fact, they scored only two goals in the last nine Apertura matches. Team's coach recognized this deficiency will be his main priority for the next tournament.

Nahuel Guzmán tried to put Lepras' attack on his back but his struggle against Colon's defense proved to be fruitless. Colon and Newells share the 8th position with All Boys, with 26 points.

J J Lopez's earned his continuity with River Plate upon a sound victory in the South against Lanus. Eric Lamela and Mariano Pavone lead River's attack with great success.

Walter Acevedo's and Matias Almeyda's ball recovery skills allowed River to dominate the game from the 28th minute of the game, but three minutes later Silvio Romero score the equalizer.

River's manager made the right calls in the half time and Mariano Pavone's overwhelming firepower let River open a three-goal gap when there were still 15 minutes of football for the match to be over.

The victory let River finish the season above the relegation line, in the 4th position. Lanus failed to qualify next year's Libertadores and finish at the 8th position, 17 points away from the top.

Huracan defeated Sudamericana's reigning champion Independiente in Parque Patricios after six winless matches and left the visitors in the final position, having played one less game.

Guillermo Roffes kept Miguel Brindisi's Huracan hopes alive for Clausura's fight for the category scoring the opener in the first minute of the second half.

Huracan's coach gave an opportunity for his youngest players to show their worth and they lived up to his expectations. Antonio Mohammed's Diablos found the equalizer but the goal was annulled by the referee. The visitors could not control the flow of the ball and were relegated to suffer for the whole

Roberto Battion was Rojos' most unbalancing player but he failed to associate with the other strikers. Independiente was only a shadow from the team that defeated Goias last Wednesday.

Huracan leaves Gimnasia and Independiente fighting at the basement as they prepare for the next Clausura.

Martin Palermo score his 300th goal with Boca Juniors this Monday in La Bombonera but it was not enough for Tito Pompei's Xeneizes to secure the three points, Juan Neira score the leveller from a free kick, not enough to save Pablo Morant's Lobos from the bottom position.

Boca Juniors dominated the game thanks to Gary Medel and Christian Erbes, both of excellent performance. Young Sergio Araujo had a few decent chances to score but his luck was rather adverse.

Gimnasia coach Pablo Morant will have a lot of work to do prior to the Clausura as his squad finished the tournament only a few points above newly promoted Olimpo and Quilmes, who are settled in direct relegation zone.

Boca Juniors waits for Julio Cesar Falcioni to save Xeneizes' ship from sinking. Boca finishes for the fifth consecutive time in the lower half of the positions table with 25 points.

Tigre was close from securing the full scoring against Clausura reigning champion Argentinos as Matadores' top striker Denis Stracqualursi opened the score in the 47th minute of the first half. Young Ciro Rius found the equalizer close to the hour mark to help Argentinos leapfrog Tigre and claim the 12th position.

Paraguayan international Nestor Ortigoza was once again the main driver in Argentinos. Tigre finished the game with 10 men as Matias Perez Garcia received his second yellow card in the 25th minute of the second half.

Neither Diego Castaño nor Rodrigo Leone could sharpen Tigre's attack. Argentinos' coach Pedro Troglio introduced two offensive modifications: Gonzalo Oberman and Ciro Rius multiplied Bichitos' offensive perspectives, finding the equalizer with a header.

Ricardo Caruso Lombardi played his last game as Tigre's coach.

Is his successor ready for the Herculean task waiting ahead for Tigre in the Clausura?

Leonardo Madelon's Quilmes celebrated their first victory away in the tournament against a direct rival for the category, leaving Olimpo in the last position for the relegation fight, though both Quilmes and Olimpo are in direct relegation.

Apertura's last game started thirty minutes later than expected for a major black out. Danilo Gerlo score the opener in the very second minute of the game with a perfect header.

Omar De Felippe's Aurinegros made enough merits to deserve one point but Hernan Galindez's prowess. Quilmes obtained 9 points in the last four games, an impressive mark considering their first victory in the season takes us back to November 14th, against Godoy Cruz.

Olimpo's winger Diego Galvan actually score the leveller with a header but the goal was unfairly annulled for off-side. Minutes later, Nicolas Bianchi Arce was challenged inside the box but the referee denied Olimpo the shot from the 12 yards.

With 13 points in the last six games, Quilmes fights back for the category after a disappointing start. Olimpo, on the other hand, is left with a mountain to climb in the next semester. Will they succeed?
