Despite Real Madrid having won the tenth Champions League title, it seems that all the attention was focused on Cristiano Ronaldo and his performance yesterday night. The Portuguese did not shine and was locked down by Gabi and Godin for most of the game.
In fact, had CR7 not scored the penalty-kick, arguably not needed in light of the result, his, would have been a rather forgettable performance. But former Manchester United star always finds a way to leave a mark.

After los Blancos managed la decima a lot of fans, especially from Man United, began reminiscing about past victories with the Portuguese. And not much else is left to do for the Red Devils’ supporters, especially since the joy for a Community Shield faded quickly.

Interestingly, the Portuguese winger has repeated the incredible season he had with United in 2008, by winning again Golden Boot award, the Balon d’Or, and the Champions League.
