2024-2027
The BBC has acquired UK rights to the UEFA Champions League for the 2024-2027 cycle. It is the first time that the British public service broadcaster has landed TV rights to this competition. BBC’s Champions League contract includes match highlights on television, as well as on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and mobile apps.

BBC3 history, coverage, features
BBC Three is the BBC’s third flagship TV channel, and it was first launched in 2003. The channel has had a checkered past, after it was taken off air in 2016 and moved online. However, it returned to terrestrial TV in 2022, due to backlash from fans of the channel. BBC Three is only on air in the evenings, with programming starting each day at 19:00 and finishing at 04:00. It focuses predominantly on content for young adults, with comedy programmes shown regularly.Live football has also appeared on BBC Three in the past, mainly when simultaneous matches are taking place. This has meant live FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship matches have been shown on the channel. BBC Three programming can be streamed through the BBC iPlayer. This includes a live feed of the channel and on-demand programming. BBC iPlayer can be downloaded for free onto all iOS and Android devices. All programming on BBC Three is in English.
