Liverpool took to Bramall Lane in Saturday’s early kick-off as the Reds locked horns with Sheffield United. Klopp’s men took to the field with the sole aim of maintaining their perfect record, and while they achieved their goal, it wasn’t an easy affair.
Salah and Co. struggled to break down the Blades and failed to muster a shot on target in the first half. In fact, throughout most of the game, the Merseyside giants looked like conceding more than breaking the deadlock themselves.
Fortunately for the away side, a 70th-minute goalkeeping error saw Wijnaldum make the scoresheet and that’s how things remained until the final whistle. The 1-0 victory means that Liverpool have put an unwanted statistic to bed.
Until now, the Merseyside giants have not been able to win at Bramall Lane in the Premier League. Their last triumph there before today’s win was back in 1990, before the inception of the Premier League.
Massive win for Liverpool! Doesn't matter how, or by how many. 7 wins out of 7 this season and our first PL win at Bramall Lane ever! #LFC pic.twitter.com/JkfVnuLeuW

Furthermore, the win over Sheffield draws Liverpool closer to an English top-flight record set by Chelsea. The Anfield side are the first team to begin the campaign with seven wins since the Blues back in 2005/06.
Klopp’s men now occupy top spot with 21 points from a possible 21 thanks to their perfect start. Next up for them is their Champions League clash with Red Bull Salzburg.
7 - Liverpool have won each of their opening seven league games to a season for only the second time in the club's history (won first eight in 1990-91), and are only the second team to do so in the @premierleague after Chelsea in 2005-06 (won first nine). Super. pic.twitter.com/ZJyd1P5dYQ
