The caretaker manager stressed that he is not afraid to enforce the law ahead of his first game in charge of the Red Devils.

Speaking ahead of his first game in charge of Man United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has issued a warning to his players during a press conference. While the Norwegian has spoken about bringing the best from the current players, he also insisted that he will not back down from stamping his authority.

Speaking ahead of his debut game, the former Old Trafford attacker stated that he too possesses a hairdryer in his wardrobe, referencing Sir Alex Ferguson's infamous method of verbally tearing into players. Solskjaer, having played under the legendary Scottish manager, must have witnessed it first-hand and could employ the same trick should any of his men misbehave.

"I've got a hairdryer,' said Solskjaer (as per the Daily Mail) ahead of his first game at Cardiff on Saturday evening.

"I'm not afraid of laying down the law. You know with your kids, when they disappoint you and you tell them off, you don't give them chocolate, do you?

"So you treat players similar to how you treat your kids really because you want the best for them. You want to guide them and help them.

"But if I get disappointed? Ask (his children) Noah, Karna, and Elijah, or some of the players I had in Molde. Once in a while, you really have to tell them the standards we've got."

Disciplining might be the 45-year-old most crucial tool, given the atmosphere of the current Red Devils dressing room. The players had reportedly turned on the previous manager Jose Mourinho and were accused of throwing him under the bus after the Special One's sacking.

However, the caretaker gaffer stressed that the power does not lie with the players, as the manager still runs the show. He added: "I'm not sure the power has gone to the dressing room,' added Solskjaer.

"Football has evolved and the gaffer (Ferguson) was in charge of more or less the whole club. The power is with the manager. He picks the team, the tactics, the strategy.

"The philosophy is in these walls. That legacy is more important than any player power."

The interim boss also revealed that he has spoken to the likes of Pogba over their social media use. Solskjaer wants his men to solely focus on the club, as they aim to salvage what is left of their season.

The Man United icon is only contracted until the end of the season. Nonetheless, he will be keen on kicking things off with a victory when they visit Cardiff City later on Saturday. All eyes will be on the Norwegian and how he will fare in his debut game.
