On Wednesday, Real Madrid lock horns with Tottenham in one of the most anticipated Champions League game of round four. Los Blancos make the trip to Wembley this time around, having drawn 1-1 at home with Spurs in their previous encounter.
Just as Tottenham will be looking to Harry Kane for goals, Los Merengues fans will do the same with Cristiano Ronaldo. The 32-year-ol d has struggled in La Liga, scoring only once in 540 minutes, but Wednesday’s clash will see him return to the competition he knows best.

He is the competition’s top-scorer
Not only in history – no player has ever scored more Champions League goals than Cristiano – but in this season as well. A brace against both APOEL and Borussia Dortmund, followed by the equalizing goal against Tottenham, have the Portuguese ace level with Harry Kane in first in the top scorers table.

Cristiano knows how to score against Spurs in the Champions League
This is the second season that Ronaldo has faced the North London outfit in the Champions League. The first came in a 2010/11 quarter-final tie.
Cristiano scored two goals across both legs – first in the 4-0 home win and then in the 1-0 White Hart Lane victory.
The former Man United ace has never lost to Tottenham
The Merengues forward faced Tottenham 11 times during his days at Old Trafford. Never was Cristiano on the losing side. He enjoyed seven wins, four draws, and four goals.
