Cristiano Ronaldo is one of football’s better looking players, hence his popularity with females. However, that rarely gets depicted well in statues of the Portugal captain.
The 32-year-old superstar already has a sculpture of himself in his hometown of Madeira, but that artwork had its issues for a number of reasons.
Now, the four-time Ballon d’Or winner has unveiled a new artwork of himself which has sadly turned out worse than the previous one. It was a bronze bust which now lies in front of an airport in Madeira.
The airport was named after their most famous child, with the Real Madrid legend making a cameo on Wednesday to reveal the bust. The end result was awful, with people on Twitter taking little time to notice the atrocious artwork.
Cristiano can be forgiven for being upset with the bust, but wore a huge smile the entire time. Trolls and jokes came pouring in after the unveiling. Check out the best tweets.

Despite the ugly sculpture, the Blancos ace remains one of the world’s best footballers in history. He recently reached an impressive goalscoring feat with his national side, and will return to action with Real Madrid soon.
